about fact
Liverpool-based FACT is the UK's leading organisation for the exhibition, support and development of artists' film, video and new media projects.

Since 1989, FACT has commissioned over 100 digital media artworks including Cave, a large-scale video installation by Mark Wallinger, in partnership with Milton Keynes Gallery, Southampton City Art Gallery and Tate Liverpool. FACT's biennial Video Positive festival was the UK's premier showcase for artists' work with video and new technologies, and ran from 1989 to 2000.

FACT's new purpose-built centre, opened in February 2003, provides a permanent specialist venue for film, video and digital media art, with exhibition spaces, a media lounge, cinemas, event space, and artists' workspaces and resources. Since the opening, FACT has presented large-scale commissioned works by Isaac Julien, Kristin Lucas, and Jennifer and Kevin McCoy, as well as Kingdom of Piracy.
